In Bloom Growth, the Org Chart is a powerful tool to visualize and manage your team’s structure. To ensure appropriate access and control, permissions are clearly defined and easy to manage. This article outlines how Org Chart permissions work and what each level means. Please note that only Admins can modify Org Chart permissions.

Where to Manage Org Chart Permissions

To view or edit Org Chart permissions:

  1. Click the name of your organization at the bottom left of your screen.

  2. Select Organization Settings

  3. Navigate to the Edit Organizational Chart tab

Org Chart Permission Levels

There are three levels of Org Chart access permissions:

  1. View Permission
Users can view the Org Chart, but cannot make any changes.

  2. Edit Permission
Users can edit their own seats, and the seats of their direct and indirect reports.
They function as limited admins but only within the scope of the teams they lead or supervise.

  3. Admin Permission
Users can view and edit the entire Org Chart with no restrictions.

Access Restrictions

If a user is not included in the Org Chart permissions:

  • They will not have access to the Org Chart at all.

  • Permissions are enforced at the organizational level and cannot be bypassed.

Best Practices

  • Only assign Admin permission to trusted leaders who need full control of the Org Chart.

  • Use Edit permission for team leaders or department heads who manage a group but don’t need access to the full structure.

  • Regularly review Org Chart permissions to ensure they match current roles and responsibilities.
