How to Use Custom Formulas

IMPORTANT

It is very important to first create a NEW measurable to hold the data from the formula you will create. If you use an existing measurable your data will be changed and the old formatting will be lost and cannot be retrieved.

Create a Formula

  1. Click My Meetings from the left menu bar.
  2. Click on the meeting you'd like to work on.
  3. Click Metrics
  4. Click the blue '+' next to Metrics.
  5. Give the measurable a Name, assign an accountable owner, unit label, frequency, goal, and operator.
  6. Click More options.
  7. Check the Formula checkbox.
  8. Click Apply formula.
  9. Click Show Help on the right side to view all of the available functions.
  10. Begin typing the title of an existing measurable or the name of the owner of an existing measurable, and select from the options the metric that will be part of the formula.
  11. Input operators, for example +, -, *, /,(,)
  12. Choose your second measurable (Repeat this step if necessary)
  13. An example of a custom formula could be: Weekly sales + Transportation costs, being separate measurables with the operator ' + ' in the middle.

  14. Click Save.
  15. The data from your formula will be populated in the new measurable's cells and the row will show 'N/A'. This data will be unable to be edited directly and will be dependent on the measurable(s) listed in the formula.
