Managing Account Permissions
Important:
Bloom Growth utilizes role-based permissions to manage user access within the platform. Administrators can assign and modify permissions to ensure users have appropriate access privileges. While there is no technical limit to the number of administrators, we recommend limiting admin roles to a few trusted individuals to minimize risks and maintain accountability.
User Roles and Icons
Roles are represented by specific icons and colors in the Bloom Growth interface:
Role | Icon Description | Access Level |
---|---|---|
Admin | Gold Crown | Full access to organization settings, meetings, users, and organizational tools. |
Supervisor | Light Blue Crown | Can manage meetings and view assigned members, but cannot edit organizational settings. |
Base User | Blue Silhouette | Limited to meetings they are assigned to. No access to organizational settings. |
Placeholder User | White Silhouette or White Crown | Inactive or pending users. Cannot interact with the platform until they are invited. |
People Tools User | Purple Silhouette | Access restricted to People Tools features only Organizational Chart, (Quarterly 1:1), and Right Person Right Seat (RPRS) |
Assigning Admin Permissions
Only Admins can grant admin permissions. Follow these steps:
-
Click your organization’s name (bottom-left corner).
-
Navigate to Organization Settings → Manage users.
-
Locate the user and click their current role icon (blue crown or silhouette).
-
Check the “Is an admin” box.
-
Click Save.
Note: The user’s icon will update to a Gold Crown. Refresh the page if changes don’t appear immediately.
Assigning Supervisor Permissions
Supervisors are auto-assigned based on the Org Chart:
-
Add a direct report (even an empty placeholder) under the user in the Org Chart.
-
The user’s icon will change to a Light Blue Crown.
